Each year the Society does its Annual Flock returns and Lamb Registrations during November/December.

Forms should be completed and returned to the Society Secretary by 31st December 2024 at:

Please note that late registrations will incur a surcharge of 50% on returns received after the deadline of 31st December 2024. i.e. Male registrations £22.50 each and females £6 each. Registrations received after the 31st January 2025 will not be included in the flock book and will still incur the surcharge.

This information will then be used to produce the 2024 Flock Book, the information needed includes the 2024 born ewe lambs and ram lambs, that are to be registered as breeding stock and then your whole Clun Flock make-up i.e. Ewes & Stock Rams used in Autumn 2024.  All this information is then put together in the Spring of 2025 and the 2024 Flock Book should be out in May 2025. The Flock Book is often delayed by late entries, so please help us by getting those entries in on time.

The whole process begins again in October 2025, when the Secretary will send out the Annual Flock Returns for the 2025 Flock Book.

Ear Tags & Year Letters

Lambs should be tagged using the following colour to denote the year born alongside the year printed on as belows;

2021 - Blue (& Year printed)
2022 - Brown (& Year printed)
2023 - Orange (& Year printed)
2024 - Purple (& Year printed)

Please note this is an update from what was printed in the Flock Book, if you already have your ear tags for the coming season there is no need to reprint. ​

Rams registered should be named using the following starting letter for the year:

2021 - Begins with E
​2022 - Begins with F
​2023 - Begins with G
​2024 - Begins with H
