Payment can be via cheque or BACS ---------------------------------------- In this website the Clun Forest Sheep Breeders Society has endeavoured to give help to the members and potential members of the Society. Also to give guidance and information on the breed, it's past, its present and its future. Whether it be the wetter regions of Britain or the drier parts with little grass at times; on the hills of Wales and the North or the lowlands of the South; in the wide open spaces or intensive indoor systems; wherever you go you'll find Cluns. These sheep are indomitable, profitable, unassailable and quietly produces quality lambs year in and year out and continue to build a reputation as great mothers and 'easy care' animals. We are proud of our sheep and if you'd like to visit a flock near you then just visitors our Breeders Map and find a flock near you. Any flock master wishing to become a member of the society should contact the secretary. You'll be required to supply the details of your flock including number of breeding ewes and the stock rams being used along which the rams unique Flockbook Number. All new members need to choose a flock Prefix and the membership runs from 1st January to 31st December each year. A full member is entitled to: A free copy of the Society Flockbook Twice yearly news letters in the Spring and Autumn Attend all Annual General Meetings of the Society Enter any Competition run by the Society Enter any Official Sales Be a member of the Council if nominated and elected An AGM is held each year at which the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson (2 year tenure); President and Vice President (3 Year tenure) are elected. Also at the AGM the Audited Statement of Accounts are presented to the meeting. The agenda of the AGM and a copy of the Statement of Accounts are sent out to each member at least 7 days before the meeting. Council members must be re-elected every 3 years and are required to attend at least 25% of the meetings or they will cease to be Council Members.
