Following our Facebook, Website and Newsletter appeal for anything Clun Forest Sheep related in the Autumn, there has been a host of new material copied from various breeders both past and present. Those who have provided artefacts include Pip Davies (Fields End Flock), Jeff & Pam Chilman (Kinsham Flock), Frank Gwilliam (Guilden Down Flock), Kath Thomas (Buckland Flock), Edna Spice (Fieldway Flock), Grace Davies of Painscastle, Roger Williams (Pen-y-Wern Flock), Mrs Lyke (Lawtonbury Flock), Marie Thomas (Ford Abbey Flock), David Sanders (Upper Ledwyche), Margaret Deakin of Craven Arms and most recently John & Jill Watkins (Cwm & Millend Flocks).
There are new photos from the 1930's to the 2000's, society cups that had lain in attics for 50 years, and catalogues of Clun Sheep sales from 1916 (nine years before the society was formed) to the mid 1980's. In the gallery below there are just a taste of the 100's of new items which are being digitally recorded by Mike Eckley
