Ted Wolley is simply a legend in the Clun Forest Sheep world, having taken over as secretary in 1945 following his demobilisation from the RAF, when there were 240 flocks and guiding the society to the peak of over 1,100 registered flocks in 1967 when he passed away. His reputation for organisation and professionalism was second to none and we are pleased to say that after being in storage since his death over 50 years ago, his Clun photographic archive of over 300 unique images spanning his 22 years in office have now been released and digitally copied for the on line archive. Specially, thanks must be given to his daughter, Janet Woodroffe, who has made this possible. Also congratulations to Janet on recently being awarded the MBE for her services to the Girl Guides. Below is a small selection of those 300.
